Job Details

Prepare, input and process all HR and payroll related records for all employees in the Public Works Division.  Receive WSIB forms from employees and provide required medical and WSIB forms to employees for completion. Maintain employee bank time information (lieu time, vacation time, sick leave etc.) and all other HR and payroll related paperwork and files.  As part of the Public Works office team, provide general customer service, administrative and clerical support for the Division, and back up to the other office staff as required.

Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a 2-year college diploma in business or related field and a combination of one to two years previous and on-the-job experience in payroll or a related field. Additional courses and/or experience in payroll and payroll related database software applications would be an asset.  Requires an advanced or intermediate level of word processing, spreadsheet software applications.  Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); strong organization and time management skills; the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate a number of tasks at one time; and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be a team player with a commitment to quality and customer service.

Hourly Rate: $37.48
