Better Homes Peterborough

Better Homes Peterborough is a renovation program to help homeowners lower energy costs, improve interior comfort, and decrease the carbon footprint of their homes. Program staff are on-hand to provide helpful advice and guide applicants along their renovation journey. 

Eligible home upgrades include air sealing, insulation, windows, doors, heat pumps, solar panels, and much more. Detached, semi-detached, and other low-rise residential buildings that are owner-occupied or rental properties can participate in Better Homes Peterborough. 

Low-interest loans are available from the City of Peterborough and Kawartha Credit Union for applicants to access renovation financing. Incentives up to $3,600 are currently available for homes that achieve sizable energy and GHG reductions post-retrofit. Stacking offers from other energy renovation programs is eligible.
