Job Details

The Sr. Leader, School Age Programs, will support, mentor and coach a team of ECEs. To strengthen each educator and provide pedagogical support that will allow them to grow as early years professionals.  Provide a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment showing sensitivity to the individual needs of the children in all aspects of development. Provide support to families and educators within the program through communication, support and working alongside them. To complete administrative tasks that are related to the daily operations of an early learning environment. 

Qualifications

Requires an individual who has a two-year college diploma in Early Childhood Education and is a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators. Requires a combination of up to 5 years previous and on-the-job experience with children and youth. The successful Individual will have well developed organizational and leadership skills. They must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with children, parents and colleagues and have the ability to handle emergencies in a calm and professional manner. They must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player committed to quality customer service. Must have Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certifications, a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check and updated immunization records. 

Hourly Rate

Classification for this position with CUPE L126:  9 

Hourly Rate: $40.17
