Adult Leisure Program Supervisor

The Adult Leisure Program Supervisor is responsible for program planning, development, promotion, implementation and evaluation. The primary location for this work will be the McDonnel Street Community Centre, although programs may require the Program Supervisor to be off-site at other City of Peterborough Recreation facilities, as well as at partner organization locations. In this role, the successful candidate will provide direct supervision of Adult Leisure programs which could include volunteers, supporting participants, and reporting to other Recreation and Parks Services staff.  This position will work a variety of shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays – up to 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

The Program Supervisor requires candidates with experience working with older adults in a recreational program setting. In addition, experience with program development, facilitation and evaluation would be considered an asset. As a condition of hire, the successful candidate will be expected to have or obtain their Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training certificate, as well as a negative Police Vulnerable Sector Check screen, completed at their own expense. Additional qualifications that would be considered an asset include a Food Handler certificate, HighFive’s Principles of Healthy Aging certificate (or equivalent), Smart Serve Ontario certificate, and any fitness-related training.

Hourly Rate: $20.00
