artiFACTS
On display until October 5, 2025
Every artifact has a story—sometimes more complex than it first appears. The Peterborough Museum & Archives (PMA) invites you to discover these hidden narratives in our newest feature exhibition, artiFACTS, opening Saturday, June 21, 2025.
This unique exhibit explores the rich and sometimes unexpected stories behind artifacts donated to the PMA. Through compelling interpretation and thoughtful curation, artiFACTS allows the objects themselves to “speak,” revealing personal, cultural, and historical connections that shape our shared past.
“This exhibit encourages visitors to look beyond the surface,” says Kim Reid, Curator of the exhibit. “Objects carry memory and meaning, and artiFACTS gives us the opportunity to let those voices be heard.”
Featuring a diverse selection of artifacts from the museum’s collection, each item is paired with interpretive content that sparks conversation about history, identity, and the power of material culture.
Admission: By donation.
Come uncover the stories objects can tell—and see the past in a whole new way.
