The City of Peterborough offers a huge selection of sports fields and courts in neighbourhoods throughout our community. Our fields and courts are used for both recreational and competitive sports.

Sports fields

A total of 82 rectangular and diamond fields are available for league play and tournaments. You can reserve a field by completing the request form. The regular turf fields are available from May 1 to October 31 each year (weather permitting). Artificial turf fields are available April 1 to December 1 (weather permitting).

Baseball diamonds

East City Bowl – 325 Burnham St.

Premiere level, adult size diamond. Used for baseball and softball. Features a grandstand, benches for players, scoreboard, lights and announcers booth, parking and washrooms (Lions Club building).

Riverside Park – 325 Burnham St.

Premiere level, adult size baseball diamond. Features a scoreboard, outfield wooden wall, pitchers pen, batters box, lights, warning track, parking and washrooms (Lions Club building).

Kinsmen Park – 775 Sherbrooke St.

Premiere level, adult size diamond. Used for slo-pitch/softball. Features lights, bleachers, splash pad, playground structure, parking and portable washroom (also available in Arena).

Peterborough City Baseball Field at Trent – 2450 Pioneer Rd.

Premier level, adult size baseball diamond. Features a clay pitchers mound, warning track, lights, parking and portable washrooms.

Bowers Park – 765 Brealey Dr.

Level A, four adult size diamonds. Used for slo-pitch, softball and baseball. Features spectator bleachers, lights, canteen building, playground structure, parking and washrooms.

Fisher Park – Fisher Drive

Level A, youth size baseball diamond. Features bleachers, parking and portable washrooms.

Barnardo – 955 Barnardo Ave.

Level B, youth size softball diamond. Features splash pad, basketball court, playground structure, tennis courts and parking.

Bonnerworth – Monaghan Road

Level B, two adult/youth size diamonds. Used for baseball and slo-pitch. Features a skateboard park, four tennis courts, parking and washroom facilities.

Brinton Carpet – 160 Braidwood Ave.

Level B, adult/youth size diamond. Used for slo-pitch and softball. Features bleachers and benches for players, street parking and portable washrooms.

Morrow Park – 171 Lansdowne St.

Level B, four adult size slo-pitch diamonds. Features bleachers, benches for players, parking and portable washrooms.

Northland – 1255 Bathurst St.

Level B, youth size softball diamond. Features a playground structure.

Rube Brady (Ashburnham) – 211 Munroe Ave.

Level B, adult size diamond. Used for slo-pitch and softball. Features street parking, portable washroom and swing set.

Stacey Green – 705 Hawley St.

Level B, adult size slo-pitch diamond. Features playground structure, tennis courts and street parking.

Westclox – 310 Armour Rd.

Level B, adult size slo-pitch diamond. Street parking and portable washrooms available.

Fairbairn and Poplar – 890 Fairbairn St.

Level C, youth size softball diamond. Park features a playground structure. Street parking available.

Knights of Columbus – 5 Park St.

Level C, youth size softball diamond. Features a wading pool, playground structure, basketball court, pickleball courts, outdoor arena and parking.

Northcrest – 100 Marina Blvd.

Level C, youth size softball diamond. Street parking available.

Turner Park – 673 Chamberlain St.

Level C, youth size softball diamond. Street parking available. Park features a playground structure.

Westmount – 1520 Sherwood Cres.

Level, C, youth size softball diamond. Street parking available.

Rectangular fields

Mark Forster – 2150 Ashburnham Dr.

Premier rectangular field. Dimensions: 225 feet by 345 feet. Eastgate park also has one Level A and two Level C rectangular fields. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee. Park features bleachers, canteen, lights, parking and washrooms.

Trent Excalibur – 2450 Pioneer Rd.

Premier rectangular field. Dimensions: 70 metres by 100 metres. Full sized FIFA soccer field and international rugby field. Used for soccer, rugby, frisbee and lacrosse. Features uprights, night time lighting, player's benches, one set of spectator benches, parking and portable washrooms.

King Edward Park – 455 George St.

Level A, rectangular field. Dimensions: 196 feet by 305 feet. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee, cross county and flag football. Park also features a splash pad, playground structure, bocce ball, parking and washrooms.

Hogan Field – 2150 Ashburnham Dr.

Level A, rectangular field. Dimensions: 196 feet x 316 feet. Eastgate Park also has one premiere and two Level C rectangular fields. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee. Park features bleachers, canteen, lights, parking and washrooms.

Nicholls Oval – 725 Armour Rd.

Level A, rectangular field. Dimensions: 223 feet by 334 feet. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee, cross country and flag football. Park also features a splash pad, accessible playground structure, basketball court, pavilion, stages, trails, parking and washrooms.

Milroy – 242 Milroy Dr.

Level A, two rectangular fields and a cricket pitch. Dimensions: 210 feet by 345 feet of fields. Cricket wicket: 66 feet by 10 feet, Cricket pitch: 150 yards. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee, cross country and flag football. Parking and portable washrooms available.

Beavermead Park – 2011 Ashburnham Dr.

Level B, six rectangular fields. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee, cross country and flag football. Park also features an accessible playground structure, beach, trails, six volleyball courts, pavilion, outdoor gym, parking and washroom facilities.

Legacy Bowl – 5 Park St.

Features an outdoor arena used for hockey, ball hockey, field hockey, roller derby. The park also has a wading pool, playground structure, pickleball courts, ball diamonds, basketball courts, parking and portable washroom.

Level C, two rectangular fields. Also features one Premier and one Level A rectangular field.

Kinsmen Park – 775 Sherbrooke St.

Level C, rectangular field. Dimensions: 150 feet x 295 feet. Used for soccer, lacrosse, frisbee. Parking and washrooms available.

TASS South – 1009 Armour Rd.

Dimensions: 64.8 metres by 120 metres. Used for football practices. Parking available.

Wedgewood (St. Teresa's) – 1525 Fairmount Blvd.

Light fees

The cost for light fees is $25.42. Lights are available after 8 p.m. May to August (8:30 p.m. at Bowers Park), after 7 p.m. April to September and after 5 p.m. October to March. The following fields have lights available

Basketball courts

We have two premier basketball courts, located at the corner of Simcoe and Bethune streets. The dimensions of the courts are 46 feet by 75 feet. You can reserve the courts by completing the request form. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Or you can drop by for casual play, without reserving them, to see if they are available.

This park offers a basketball court and play structure.

This park offers a basketball court, a Level A sport field, accessible play structure, splash pad, pavilion, stage, walking trails, parking and a washroom. Also, home to the Peterborough Pagans Rugby Club.

This park features a basketball court and play structure.

Roper Park – 1610 Firwood Cres.

Beach volleyball courts

We have six beach volleyball courts in Beavermead Park. If you would like to reserve the courts for games or tournaments, please complete an application form. You can also drop by for casual use on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tennis courts

We offer four regular-size tennis courts that are located in Bonnerworth Park at 550 McDonnel St. You can book the courts for a fee for games and tournaments on a first-come, first-served basis. To book Bonnerworth tennis courts, complete the request form.

Please note that the courts may be unavailable during the day on weekdays due to use by primary and secondary schools.
