Zoo Maintenance Staff - Summer Student

Job Details
The Zoo Maintenance student assists the Zoo staff with various outside work throughout the summer. This position works on a shift rotation that includes weekend shifts. This position works 32-40 hours per week and is a temporary full-time position from April 2026 to September 2026.
Qualifications
Requires a student currently enrolled in a Post Secondary education program and who is returning to full time studies in Fall 2026.
Our ideal candidate has previous experience in physical labour positions and brings experience operating string trimmers, blowers, tractors, and zero‑turn mowers, with additional familiarity using power tools and construction equipment considered an asset. They demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, possess basic electrical awareness, and hold a valid G‑class driver’s license. The role requires someone who can meet the physical demands of the job, works independently with minimal supervision, and is comfortable in a customer‑focused environment.
Salary
$17.60/Hour
