Seasonal Wastewater Treatment Plant Labourer

Job Details
You will assist in a variety of labouring assignments including: equipment maintenance; building and grounds maintenance; and cleaning tasks at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Pumping Stations and Centennial Fountain. You will perform minor carpentry and plumbing tasks and operate a variety of maintenance tools as well as trucks, loaders, portable generators, lawn maintenance equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- A Wastewater Collection Operator-in-Training (WWC OIT) license is an asset but not required.
- Valid Ontario Class "G driver's license, DZ license is preferred.
- At least two year's experience in labouring, carpentry or plumbing; experience using power tools and hand tools; and an understanding of all related work procedures.
- Training and experience in WHMIS, Health and Safety and/or Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification are strong assets.
- Proven interest in the Environmental/Wastewater Treatment field would be a definite asset.
This is a temporary full-time position from June 2026 to November 2026.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must provide proof of education and a clear driver's abstract upon request.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Salary
$24.86/Hour
