Recreation Customer Service Representative

Job Details

Serve as the primary contact for the exchange of information between staff and members of the public for services provided by the Recreation Services Division within the Community Services Department.  Working from any assigned Recreation facility, greet and direct incoming patrons and ensure proper processing using the software database system, where applicable.  Including processing of memberships, registration into programs, Marina bookings, accept facility payments, maintain cash float and prepare daily balance report.  Monitor facility capacity numbers for specific programs, ensuring safety guidelines, policies and procedures are adhered to. 

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience normally associated with completion of a Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 3 months related or on-the-job experience.  Proficient in the use of computers including basic knowledge of Word and database programs in addition to basic mathematical skills; knowledge of database software is considered an asset.  Requires excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.  Must have the ability to multi-task and to maintain focus in a frequently distracting environment. 

Salary

$23.39 per hour
