Job Details

The Peterborough Museum and Archives is a community-based museum located in Ashburnham Memorial Park.  The Museum Discovery Educator will plan, develop and implement educational camp programming for Registrants at the Museum.

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience associated with a completed Bachelor of Education and a combination of 1-2 years previous on-the-job experience in a related field, in addition to proven experience in developing and delivering educational programming for children. 

Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills are an asset. Possess confidence and sensitivity: comfortable with children, adolescents, and adults. As a condition of hire, candidates are required to have Standard First Aid and Level “C” CPR/ AED Training and provide a vulnerable sector check prior to the start of employment.  Candidates must also successfully complete the City of Peterborough WHMIS and AODA training.

Hours of Work: The Museum Discovery Camp Educator must be available to work full time, weekdays from June 29 to August 14, 2026. Hours of work are expected to vary and will not exceed 40 hours/week.  

Salary

$30.21/Hour
