Join our Municipal Law Enforcement Services team as an Administrative Assistant, where you'll be at the heart of supporting a fast-paced and dynamic division.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for a wide range of administrative functions—from providing front-line reception and customer service to coordinating invoices, formatting key documents, and ensuring accurate entry of attendance records. You’ll help keep our website content current, manage records and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and play a vital role in supporting both internal staff and public inquiries. You’ll also provide backup to the Enforcement Clerk, ensuring consistent and responsive service across the team.

Qualifications
Completion of a two (2) year college diploma in Business, Office Administration, or Law Clerk program.
Up to two (2) years of related experience, including a combination of prior and on-the-job training.
Knowledge of enforcement practices and relevant legislation, including:
- Property Maintenance By-law, Property Standards By-law, Zoning By-law, Sign By-law, Pool Enclosure By-law, Waste Collection By-law, Enforcement By-law, Inspection By-law, Parking By-law, Parks and Facilities By-law, Trespass By-law, Municipal Act, Building Code Act, Planning Act, Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Provincial Offences Act, Evidence Act, and Trespass to Property Act
Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an advanced level.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to effectively build relationships and work collaboratively with internal divisions and independently.
Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, high-quality work, and excellent customer service.
Salary
$56,765.80 per year
