Education/Guest Services Staff - Summer Student

Job Details

The Guest Services summer student operates the front gate admission and reservation system, the Guest Services and Gift Shop including responding to guest inquiries as well as processing the sale of merchandise. This position is part of our Public Education Team and is required to help deliver tours and education programs. This position works on a shift rotation that includes weekend shifts. This position works 32-40 hours per week and is a temporary full-time position from April 2026 to September 2026.

Qualifications

Requires a student currently enrolled in a Post Secondary education program related to Ecology, Conservation Biology, Fish and Wildlife, Zoology, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality or Business Administration or other related discipline and who is returning to full time studies in Fall 2026.

Our ideal candidate has previous public speaking experience and has worked in customer service roles, including hands‑on familiarity with POS and payment systems. They demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a solid working knowledge of MS Office applications, with additional experience using social media and contact management software considered an asset. They hold a valid G driver’s license, work independently with strong self‑motivation, and maintain an excellent safety record. First Aid and CPR training further strengthen their qualifications. 

Salary

$17.60/Hour
