Community Event Leader

Located on the Trent-Severn Waterway in the heart of the Kawartha tourism region, Peterborough is a unique community known for its exceptional quality of life and beautiful setting. Position Description

The Community Event Leader will represent the City of Peterborough at community events and within the Peterborough Memorial Centre (PMC). This role involves engaging with the public, providing tourism information, and assisting with event operations.

Qualifications and Other Pertinent Details

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service experience is an asset.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (e.g., setting up a booth).
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds to complete event set-up. 

Hourly Rate

$17.75
