Municipal storm and sanitary sewers

The City of Peterborough maintains storm and sanitary sewers. The sanitary sewage system is made up of a series of pipes, maintenance holes and pumping stations. The system collects wastewater from the plumbing systems of buildings. We treat the water at the Wastewater Treatment Plant before returning it to the Otonabee River.

Water services

The City of Peterborough - Water Services supplies residents and businesses with safe, clean water. Peterborough's water comes from the Otonabee River. Water is treated at a water treatment facility before delivering it to homes and businesses.

Electricity

Hydro One delivers electricity to residents and businesses in the City. 

Natural gas

Enbridge Gas provides natural gas services in the City of Peterborough.
