The Peterborough Waste Management Facility is at 1260 Bensfort Rd. in Otonabee-South Monaghan, about 6 km south of the City.

Vehicles that leave the landfill property without weighing out will be subject to a fine of $125.
You can take household hazardous waste items, such as televisions, electronic devices, paint and batteries to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot at 400 Pido Rd.
At the Peterborough Waste Management Facility, we only accept waste generated in the City and County of Peterborough.
Tarping your landfill loads
All loads brought to the landfill in open-top vehicles, like pickup trucks, must be tarped. We impose fines for loads that aren't covered by a tarp when they're brought the landfill in open-top vehicles.
