Hazardous and Electronic Waste

Paint and reusable products exchange
As a free service at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot, we accept partially used cans of paint and stains as well as other good reusable products that we then make available for others to take for their own use. You can put empty paint cans in your recycling bin for curbside collection if the paint is dry and the lids are removed from the cans.
Batteries
We accept batteries at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot. We also regularly schedule an annual curbside collection of household batteries, which will be from November 1- 4th, 2022. Watch for more details around that time and for your battery disposal bag to be delivered inside the Peterborough This Week newspaper the week before the collection.
