During a special Council meeting on January 12, 2026, Council approved making available to the public Closed Report LSOCS26-003, Conclusion of Litigation - Northcrest Neighbours v City of Peterborough.

Council meeting schedule

City Council meetings are typically held on Monday evenings starting at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall as follows:

• General Committee meeting - Monday
• Council meeting - Following Monday 
• No meeting - following Monday
• Cycle begins again with a General Committee Meeting - Monday

Council also meets at Special Meetings as needed throughout the year. Notice will be provided in advance of the meeting.

Delegations are only received at Council meetings, or at General Committee meetings for items that are public meetings under the Planning Act.

Procedure By-law

Based on the recommendations of the Procedure By-law Review Committee, City Council passed By-law 26-014 at its February 2, 2026 meeting.
