Job Details

As a member of the Information Technology (IT) team, the Systems/Network Administrator will play a lead role in providing the City with reliable, secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure.

The Systems/Network Administrator position is responsible for the administration of the City’s IT infrastructure, including but not limited to, switches, routers, servers, data storage and backup and recovery systems.

Possessing a high level of server, network services, data storage and backup and recovery expertise, the Systems/Network Administrator will liaise with other IT staff and outside technology vendors for effective resource management and problem resolution.

This position will be a member of the senior technical team that will recommend long range infrastructure management strategies for the organization and oversee the development and maintenance of operational plans.

Qualifications

Requires a post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification would be an asset.

Requires five years related network/server administration experience and five years data communications and network experience. 

Hourly Rate

$38.79 - $55.41
