Recreation Facility Attendant - Parks
Position Description
The Recreation Facility Attendant – Parks will assist in a variety of operational and maintenance duties across parks facilities. Responsibilities include grass cutting, trimming, turf management for athletic fields, general park maintenance, waste removal, event support, and ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of park grounds and facilities.
Qualifications and other Pertinent Details
We are seeking individuals with a minimum of a Grade 12 education or equivalent, along with at least 2 years of job-related experience. Candidates must hold a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and be able to provide a clear driver’s abstract and a satisfactory current Police Criminal Record Check. First Aid/CPR certification, WHMIS 2015, Health and Safety, or Standard First Aid/CPR/AED would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will possess well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Experience in a municipal marina or public setting, as well as familiarity with cash handling, would be considered an asset. Applicants must also be physically capable of performing the demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, standing, and sitting.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
