Job Details

The Manager, Revenue Services is a strategic leader responsible for the coordination and operational delivery of the City’s revenue functions, including property taxation, assessment, accounts receivable, water billing, and miscellaneous revenue collection. Operating within municipal legislation and corporate policy frameworks, the Manager ensures accurate revenue recognition, legislative compliance, and efficient service delivery across all revenue streams.

This role contributes to policy development, oversees financial system integrity, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that support long-term financial sustainability and customer-focused service. The Manager fosters collaboration across departments, supports workforce planning and development, and ensures consistent application of corporate policies and collective agreements. As a leader of union and non-union staff, the incumbent promotes a respectful, inclusive, and performance-driven work environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional designation (CPA, AMCT) considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in municipal finance or municipal revenue services.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal property tax legislation and financial systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with VTAX, AMPS, and POS systems preferred.

Salary: $124,072 - $135,619
