Client Service Worker

Job Details

Support Social Services clients/service recipients to improve their circumstances thereby enabling them to actively pursue and maintain employment. This includes negotiating mutually agreeable Improvement Action Plans, supporting clients with wrap around and individualized supports and services and monitoring progress toward measurable outcomes. 

Providing ongoing eligibility for all internal programs including Ontario Works, Housing and Homelessness and Community Development, as well as information and referrals to appropriate community programs including the Service System Manager for Community Employment programs. The Client Service Worker applies knowledge of provincial legislation governing programs, to assess individual needs and manage an 
ongoing caseload. 

Qualifications

Requires a minimum two-year Community College Diploma in a Human Services related program (ex. Social Service Worker, Mental Health and Addictions Worker). A University degree in a related program is preferred (Social Work, Psychology). Ability to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers would be considered an asset. Position requires 2 years directly related experience in the social service field in a coaching or counselling role with emphasis in some of the following areas: Social Assistance, Employment Counselling, Addictions and Mental Health, Crisis Response, Equity and Diversity, utilizing - Solution-Focused Brief Counselling, Trauma-Informed Care and Strengths-Based Approaches, Housing Based Case Management.

Hourly Rate

$38.99-$40.94
