City of Peterborough | Reusable Exchange Weekends

Reusable Exchange Weekends are back! After a few seasons in storage, this program is back on the boulevard. This event is a great way to give new life to your old stuff.

Throughout the second weekend of each month from May to September, residents can put reusable items they no longer want out to the curb for neighbours to claim. If the items aren't claimed by Sunday evening, you take them back inside.

Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10

Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14

Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12

Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 16

Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13

Put your item(s) at the curb the evening of the second Friday of the month (May to September).*
Take a weekend stroll through your neighbourhood to find new-to-you gems.*
On Sunday evening, bring any unclaimed items back inside and:
- Hold on to them until the next Reusable Exchange Weekend.
- Take unwanted electronics^ to the Material Recycling Facility at 390 Pido Rd.
- Bring partially used cans of paints or stains to the Paint Share program at 400 Pido Rd.
- Take furniture and other durable items to the Waste Management Facility at 1260 Bensfort Rd (subject to disposal fees).

Sharing resources builds strong communities.
This program has the benefit of raising the profile of the Circular Economy and demonstrates how we can all be part of it.
