Vote for the Canada Day Movie Night Movie

Peterborough, ON – Get ready to vote, Peterborough!  

Canada Day Movie Night is returning to Quaker Foods City Square, 215 Charlotte St., on Tuesday, June 30 and residents are invited to help choose the evening’s feature film.  

Movie fans can vote for one of the four following options: The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Big Year, Gnomeo and Juliet, or Butterfly Tale. Each film has a Canadian connection, whether it is cast and crew members or filming locations and themes.

The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 19.  

Canada Day Movie night begins at 7:30 p.m. and marks the launch of the City of Peterborough’s Canada Day festivities. 

Movie-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. The City will be handing out free popcorn before the movie and hosting a s’mores station. The movie will begin at dusk, or approximately 9 p.m.
