Smoking Prohibited in City of Peterborough Outdoor Recreation Spaces

Peterborough – Residents and visitors are reminded that smoking and vaping is prohibited in all City of Peterborough parks, sports fields, playgrounds, wading pools, splashpads and beaches except in designated smoking areas.  

Smoking is prohibited in these areas under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act and the Peterborough Smoking By-law.  

Anyone smoking outside a designated smoking area in any of these locations could be subject to a penalty of $305.
