Overnight Lane Closure on George Street North

Peterborough, ON – A temporary lane closure will be in effect overnight on George Street North between Dalhousie Street and Sherbrooke Street on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, beginning at 9:30 p.m., for a watermain repair. 

The northbound lane will be closed to traffic for the duration of the repair, with a signed detour in place. The southbound lane will remain open. 

Work is expected to be completed by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8. The overnight schedule is intended to minimize daytime traffic disruption. 

Properties affected by the temporary water service interruption will be notified directly.
