Installation for Peterborough Transit Terminal public art project underway
Peterborough, ON – Crews have begun installing a public art project at the Peterborough Transit Terminal.
Installation is scheduled to take place over the next four weeks between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The work will be done in sections beginning at the terminal’s west end, moving through bays toward the east end.
To accommodate the installation, up to two transit bays will be closed at a time. Bus routes that normally use those bays will be temporarily relocated to stops on Simcoe Street until work in that area is complete.
Equipment, including machinery, will be on site throughout the installation. Transit users are reminded to follow any posted signage in place.
The Peterborough Transit customer service desk will remain open. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
The selected artist and final design will be formally recognized during a celebration in the fall.
