Help Shape Peterborough’s Transportation Safety Program
Peterborough, ON – Residents are invited to learn about and provide input on the development of the City’s new Transportation Safety Program.
A drop-in style Public Information Centre will be held on Wednesday, June 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Healthy Planet Arena, 911 Monaghan Rd.
City staff and the project team will be available to share information, answer questions, and gather feedback from the community.
Residents can also participate through the project page at connectptbo.ca/safemovesptbo. Feedback can be submitted through an interactive map and a survey. The survey will remain open until Sunday, June 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Public input will help inform the development of the Transportation Safety Program and support the City’s efforts to create safer streets for everyone in Peterborough.
About the Transportation Safety Program
The City is developing a comprehensive 15-year Transportation Safety Program aimed at substantially reducing traffic fatalities and serious injuries across the community. The plan will guide how road safety improvements are prioritized and implemented in a coordinated, proactive, and sustainable way.
Building on previous initiatives such as the Transportation Master Plan, Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Policy, and speed limit reductions in school areas, the program will help shape safer streets and comfortable travel for all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers.
