Free Thanksgiving Monday Skate at Miskin Law Community Complex
Peterborough, ON – Residents are invited to lace up their ice skates for a free family skate at the Miskin Law Community Complex, 271 Lansdowne St. W., on Thanksgiving Monday.
Sponsored by Lift Lock Therapy, the free skate takes place in the CHE arena from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, October 12.
The Miskin Law Community Complex also features a free indoor walking track and a branch of the Peterborough Public Library. The library branch will be closed, though library card holders can access it between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. by scanning their library card at the door and entering their PIN to access the library. Card holders can then browse books, pick up holds and check out items using the self check-out machines.
Thanksgiving Monday swim times
Several new swim sessions have been added to the swim schedule at Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre, 775 Brealey Dr., for Monday, October 12. Swimming is free for Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre members, and $5.25 for non-members. The Fun Swim is $5.25 per person, or up to $15.75 for a group of up to five swimmers.
Swim times are as follows:
- Lane swim: 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Wellness Swim (Therapy Pool): 6 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
- Nursery Swim (Therapy Pool): 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Open Swim: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Fun Swim: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
There is ongoing construction at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. Members and visitors are asked to follow all posted signage and directions. More information on swimming at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre can be found at peterborough.ca/swim.
