Fall Forecast: Peterborough to Shine in the National Spotlight on The Weather Network Morning Show
The forecast calls for a strong chance of Peterborough in the national spotlight, with fall colours, crisp temperatures and plenty of local experiences on display Wednesday, September 30, on The Weather Network Morning Show.
Attractions and experiences from across the City will be profiled in 12 segments throughout the morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., and again from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This media spotlight was led by Peterborough Tourism in collaboration with Destination Ontario, and has an estimated national broadcast/digital reach of 16.9 million.
This spotlight focuses on what makes Peterborough a welcoming, inclusive and sought-after destination all year-round, especially in the fall. Stops included the Peterborough Lift Lock, The Canadian Canoe Museum, Art Gallery of Peterborough, the Riverview Park and Zoo, Peterborough Regional Farmers' Market, 100 Acre Brewing Co., Lowlands Fire Foods, Downtown Peterborough, and visual footage from shops, studios and restaurants.
This media collaboration supports marketing goals outlined in the Discover Peterborough: Tourism Growth Strategy, and celebrates local voices and experiences, to strengthen pride, reinforce community support for tourism, and build a destination narrative that is distinctly Peterborough.
Locals, visitors and other Peterborough enthusiasts are encouraged to tune in to The Weather Network on Wednesday, September 30.
