Bethune Street Work and Temporary Road Closure Between McDonnel Street and Murray Street

Peterborough, ON – Following the reconstruction of Bethune Street from 2020 to 2023, the contractor has returned to complete corrective work related to the project. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks on Bethune Street from McDonnel Street to Townsend Street.  

As part of this work, a temporary road closure to through traffic will be required on Bethune Street between McDonnel Street and Murray Street for approximately four days.  

The closure is anticipated to occur between November 2 and November 13, 2026, weather permitting. While some traffic disruptions are expected, the impact on the surrounding area is anticipated to be minimal. Access for local traffic will maintained, and detour signage will be posted as required.
