Beavermead Beach Party Cancelled

The Beavermead Beach Party scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, has been cancelled due to forecasted weather conditions and safety considerations.

The Beach Party was planned to be a companion event to Parks Canada’s Lock & Paddle event at the Peterborough Lift Lock, which has also been cancelled out of an abundance of caution due to forecasted weather conditions.

The Beavermead Beach Party and Lock & Paddle will not be rescheduled this year.

The City thanks the businesses and organizations that supported the Beach Party, as well as Parks Canada for its strong collaboration. The City looks forward to future opportunities to engage with visitors and locals who participate in the highly-successful, annual Lock & Paddle event.
