Opening Celebration for Bonnerworth Park

Peterborough, ON – A grand opening celebration for the new bike pump track, expanded skateboard park, new pickleball courts and other enhancements at Bonnerworth Park, 560 McDonnel St., will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 2 p.m.  

The opening celebration will include remarks from officials and park user groups, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an opportunity for residents to explore the park’s new features.  

Other enhancements include new landscaping throughout the park, shade areas and a new multipurpose trail connecting all amenities. 

Thursday’s opening will be followed by a lineup of activities in the park on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, highlighting the park’s new features and giving residents an opportunity to check out demonstrations from user groups and even try a new hobby or sport.  

A full schedule of weekend activities will be sent out closer to the park’s official opening date.
