November is Hindu Heritage Month

Mayor Jeff Leal has issued the following statement for Hindu Heritage Month:

"The month of November marks Hindu Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the customs, traditions and festivals of Hindu communities and to honour their significant contributions to our city and country.

"On behalf of the City of Peterborough, I am proud to recognize the Hindu community’s vibrant heritage. This month provides a meaningful opportunity to reflect, learn and educate future generations about the role Hindu Canadians play in our communities and to celebrate the diversity that makes our city a welcoming and vibrant home for all."
