Notice of Public Meeting - February 17, 2026

Take Notice that the City of Peterborough has received the following applications, and pursuant to Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.P.13, the City of Peterborough General Committee will hold a Public Meeting in the Council Chambers, City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The City-initiated amendment proposes to introduce a new policy to the Coldsprings Special Study Area section of the Official Plan that would permit the lands associated with Draft Plan of Subdivision Files 15T-05503 and 15T-10504 to be placed in an appropriate urban residential precinct in the preparation of the upcoming Community Planning Permit by-law.

The applicant proposes to rezone the property from M3.2 Industrial District to a site-specific zone that would increase the range of permitted uses to include a daycare or day nursery, a dwelling unit, a home for the aged, a business services establishment, a clinic, an office, and a studio/workshop within the existing building. No new buildings, structures, or expansions to the existing floor area are proposed through this application.
