Notice of Public Meeting - December 1, 2025
Take Notice that the City of Peterborough has received the following applications, and pursuant to Sections 17, 34 and 51 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.P.13, the City of Peterborough General Committee will hold a Public Meeting in the Council Chambers, City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Applications:

Affected Lands: 689 Towerhill Road
Owner / Applicant: Muskoka D&M Corp.

The applicant proposes a Draft Plan of Subdivision to create a residential development block, a stormwater management block and two public streets. The concept site plan for the development block includes six residential apartment buildings having a height of up to 7 storeys (25 metres), resulting in a total of 612 dwelling units. The concept site plan illustrates an internal private road network, surface parking, open space and shared amenity areas (a clubhouse and outdoor pool). The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would establish development regulations for the proposed development.
The proposed Official Plan Amendment seeks to amend Schedule 'D' - Roadway Network of the Official Plan by designating a new low-capacity collector road network in the neighbourhood along: McCrea Drive, Hillview Drive, Deline Street, and Simons Avenue between Deline Street and Chemong Road.

The applicant proposes a Draft Plan of Condominium to convert an existing 128-unit rental housing development to condominium ownership. The existing development consists of ten (10) two-storey residential townhouse blocks and the site includes shared service areas, common amenity space, asphalt parking areas, driveways, and walkways throughout the plan area, and provides parking for 185 vehicles.
