New exhibit “artiFACTS” at Peterborough Museum & Archives gives voice to the past
Peterborough, ON - The Peterborough Museum & Archives (PMA) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest feature exhibition, artiFACTS, opening on Saturday, June 21, 2025 and on view through to October 5, 2025.
Every artifact has a story to tell and sometimes their stories are far more complex than they appear at first glance. The exhibition artiFACTS will explore the rich and sometimes complicated stories behind artifacts donated to the PMA. Through this exhibit, the artifacts reveal unique narratives that connect us to moments in time, places, and people from our shared past.
“This exhibit encourages visitors to look beyond the surface,” says Kim Reid, Curator of the exhibit. “Objects carry memory and meaning, and artiFACTS gives us the opportunity to let those voices be heard.”
The exhibit will feature a range of intriguing artifacts from the PMA collection, selected by the Curator, and paired with thought-provoking interpretation that invites conversation about context, culture, and the power of material history.
