National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism: June 23

Mayor Jeff Leal has issued the following statement for the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism:

“On this National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, we pause to honour and remember the lives that have been tragically lost and forever altered by acts of terrorism, both here in Canada and around the world. We stand in solidarity with the survivors, families, and communities who continue to carry the pain of these devastating events. Their strength and resilience remind us of the importance of standing together against violence, hatred and fear. Today, I encourage everyone to not only remember the lives lost, but to recommit to building a more peaceful, compassionate, and inclusive world.”
