Better Homes Peterborough

Better Homes Peterborough is a renovation program to help homeowners' lower energy costs, improve interior comfort, and decrease the carbon footprint of their homes. Program staff are on-hand to provide helpful advice and guide applicants along their renovation journey. 

Eligible home upgrades include air sealing, insulation, windows, doors, heat pumps, solar panels, and much more. Detached, semi-detached, and other low-rise residential buildings that are owner-occupied or rental properties can participate in Better Homes Peterborough. 

Low-interest loans are available from Kawartha Credit Union or the City of Peterborough for applicants to access renovation financing. Incentives are currently available for homes that achieve sizable energy reductions post-retrofit. Stacking offers from other energy renovation programs is eligible.
