Wastewater Treatment Update

The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant has resumed normal operation.  The boil water advisory is no longer in effect for residents downstream of the Wastewater Treatment Plant who draw water from the river. Flows remain high due to recent weather conditions, and rain is in the forecast, therefore residents are asked to continue reduced water consumption.


Temporary Closure: Willowcreek Trail

The Willowcreek Trail is temporarily closed due to flooding.

Nominations for the 2017 Civic Awards are now open.  This is an excellent opportunity to recognize volunteer leaders in sports, arts and culture. The nomination form is online.

Notice: Public Meeting Monday, February 26, 2018 The City of Peterborough has received an application and pursuant to the Planning Act, the General Committee will hold a public meeting in the Council Chambers, City Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Community education event celebrates Heart Month February is Heart Month and the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre is celebrating by holding a "Heart to Heart" community education event in partnership with the Central East Regional Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Service on February 26, 2018.
Winter Parking Restrictions on City Streets To assist snow clearing operations, winter parking restrictions are now in effect in the City of Peterborough.
Skating on the Canal 2018 Trent Severn Waterway and the City Peterborough are pleased to offer public skating on the Canal below the Peterborough Lift Lock - weather-permitting. Ice conditions are monitored regularly and a flag indicates the status. The flag is currently Red - skating is not permitted.
