The 2018 Municipal Election is October 22 and online voting is open now. See the Election Top 10 for information. If you have not received your Voter Information Card, please check if you are on the Voter's List online or call the Election Office 705-742-7777 ext. 1022.


2019 Community Grants Program

The Community Grants Program application process is now open. Non-profit, community-based organizations in Peterborough that provide direct programs, services or activities are invited to learn more at an Information Session on October 30, 2018. The Community Grants Application is online.

Applications are now available for the City of Peterborough Low Income Senior & Low Income Property Tax Assistance Program. Applications are available online or at the City Hall Tax Office.


Property Closed for Fire Code Violations

Peterborough Fire Services has closed 494/496 Bolivar St. for numerous Fire Code violations.  Peterborough Housing and Social Services are providing support to tenants seeking alternate accommodations.

Final Day for Municipal Election Third Party Advertisers Friday, October 19, 2018 is the final day for Third Party Advertisers of the Municipal Election to register at the Clerk's Office.
Mural ribbon cutting at YES Shelter A ribbon cutting to mark the official completion of the mural, entitled Rebirth and Resilience, at the YES Shelter, 196 Brock St., will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:15 a.m.
Stormwater Management Maintenance The City of Peterborough is currently doing maintenance and rehabilitation work on several stormwater management ponds as required by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks as conditions of approval for each facility.

City to convert 7,205 streetlights to Smart technology LED streetlight fixtures Starting the last week of September, the City is converting 7,205 streetlights to Smart technology Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlight fixtures, which will reduce energy use, electricity costs and maintenance costs.
