Introduction
The City of Peterborough, through its consultant BT Engineering Inc. (BTE), is conducting a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study (“the Study”) for the Television Road bridge over South Meade Creek Replacement. The Study has now evaluated alternatives for roadway alignment, detours, structures, and construction staging and is recommending a bridge replacement strategy to address the needs of the Study Area.
Online public consultation
The second Public Information Centre (PIC) will present the study scope and issues, preliminary design alternatives, evaluation of alternatives and the Technically Preferred Plan. The City of Peterborough wishes to ensure that anyone interested in this study has the opportunity to be involved and share their ideas. At the present time, the Province of Ontario has implemented measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, with restrictions on public gatherings. As a result, the PIC is relying on web-based communications.

Upon completion of this study, an Environmental Study Report (ESR) documenting the effects anticipated by the project and the corresponding mitigation measures will be prepared and made available for a 30-day public review period. A Notice will be published informing the public of the Environmental Study Report completion and review period.
There is an opportunity at any time during the EA process for interested persons to provide comments, ask questions or share ideas. All information will be collected in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (R.S.O. 2009, amended 2019). With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
