Peterborough, ON – The inaugural Council meeting for the swearing in of the 2022 - 2026 City Council will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Austin Doran Hall in the Mount Community Centre, 1545 Monaghan Rd., Peterborough.
The meeting will be live streamed on the City’s website at peterborough.ca/watchcouncil.
Based on the capacity of the venue, limited seating will be available by advance registration to attend the meeting in-person. Registration will open at noon on Wednesday, November 23 on a first come, first served basis. Interested individuals are asked to call the City Clerk’s Office 705-742-7777 ext. 1820 or they can register in person at City Hall once registration opens.
Update: as of Thursday, November 24 all seating for the in-person ceremony has been reserved.
The room will also accommodate reserved seating for family and friends of the newly-elected Council members and local dignitaries. The swearing-in ceremony is being held at the Mount Community Centre, instead of in the Council Chambers at City Hall, to allow for additional seating.
The swearing-in is the only item on the agenda for the meeting on November 28. Council will hold its first meetings sitting as Finance Committee and General Committee on December 5, 2022. Council meeting schedules and agendas are posted at peterborough.ca/agendas.
