Dear Members,

We hope that you are keeping well. We wanted to provide you with an update about the Centre now that the province will be entering Step 2 of the Reopening Ontario Framework.

Based on the three-step framework, the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre will remain closed for access to the aquatic centre, fitness centre and fitness classes until Step 3 of the plan, which permits indoor sports and recreational facilities to reopen.

At this time, there are still no details available on which restrictions will be included when we reopen, such as facility limits, pre-registration, or general access information. Once we have a better understanding of the restrictions, we will send more information.

Starting in Step 2, outdoor fitness programs will begin as well as sport programs including tennis lessons, pickleball lessons and leagues. The Wellness Centre will open for Summer Camps on July 5, 2021. Registration for these programs is now open.

For members who have requested a hold to their membership we will automatically adjust the reactivation date so that the provincial lockdown and reopening steps 1 and 2 are not counted towards your time away from the Centre.

If you have not requested a hold yet in 2021 and wish to do so, please find the link below to our online hold form.

Hold Request Form

Please be aware that due to the provincial shutdown, staff are not able to answer calls directly. For those members looking to speak with a staff member please call 705-742-0050 ext. 2201 and leave a voicemail for a returned call between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternatively, you can email staff questions at sportandwellnesscentre@peterborough.ca.

We are excited to see you again and get back to the Centre.

As always, stay safe.
