Take Notice that the City of Peterborough has received the following applications, and pursuant to Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.P.13, the General Committee will hold a public meeting electronically, through the City’s website, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020:

The applicant proposes to amend the Official Plan designation of the affected lands from the Urban Fringe Control Area (Smith Township) to Residential on Schedule A. Additionally, the applicant proposes to re-zone the site from A1 – Rural Zone (Smith Township) and R.1,1m,2m – Residential District to a new Special District for public service uses (south portion of the site) and to D.2-96 – Development District (north portion of the site). The applicant is proposing to develop a 256-bed long term care facility on the southerly 2.2 hectares of the site, and a future residential development on the remaining 7.7 hectares of the site, subject to future Zoning By-law and Site Plan approvals.
