Take Notice that the City of Peterborough has received the following applications, and pursuant to Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.P.13, the City of Peterborough General Committee will hold a Public Meeting electronically, through the City’s website, at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

The applicant is seeking an amendment to the Official Plan to change the designation from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential on Schedule ‘E’ – Residential Density and Schedule ‘N’- Auburn North Secondary Plan, and further to amend the Zoning of the lands from the R.1 – Residential Zoning District (with various site-specific regulations), to a modified version of the R.4 – Residential Zoning District. The application proposes the development of the lands for 23 townhouse blocks, ranging in height from 2 to 3 storeys with a total of 162 units. The application proposes to modify several regulations to facilitate a Concept Site Plan that was modified to address concerns expressed through the consultation process.

The applicant is proposing to amend the Zoning By-law to re-zone the property from R.,1m,2m – Residential District to a modified R.4 – Residential District with site specific regulations related to parking; maximum number of dwelling units per building; minimum lot area per dwelling unit; minimum setback from the rear lot line; maximum number of storeys; and maximum lot coverage by open parking areas, driveways and vehicle movement areas. The application seeks to facilitate the use of the lands for a residential infill development consisting of an apartment building with a maximum of up to 25 dwelling units and a maximum building height of 4 storeys with surface parking and loading facilities, in accordance with the Infill Housing Policies of Section 4.2 of the City’s Official Plan.
