Notice of Public Meeting - June 5, 2023
Take Notice that the City of Peterborough has received the following application(s) and pursuant to Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c.P.13, the City of Peterborough General Committee will hold a Public Meeting in the Council Chambers, City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2022.

Affected Lands: 53 and 59 Leahy's Lane
Owner/Applicant: Jennifer Goode and Christopher Vandermeer, and Jeffrey Slute

The applicant proposes to modify the regulations of the existing R.3-311 – Residential Zoning District by amending Exception .311 with site specific regulations to increase the total number of permitted units from 5 to 6. This will result in a total of 6 dwelling units on each property.

Owner/Applicant: Global Point Logistics Inc.
Agent: Kent Randall, Ecovue Consulting Services Inc.
The applicant is seeking to amend Schedule A – Urban Structure of the Official Plan from Employment District to Neighbourhood and Schedule B – Land Use from General Employment to Residential to permit a medium-density residential development on the undeveloped, western portion of the property. The applicant also proposes to amend the zoning of the property to M3.1 – Industrial District to a modified R.5 – Residential District and modified M3.1 – Industrial District. The modified Residential District would facilitate the construction of a four-storey 77-unit apartment and townhouse development on the undeveloped portion of the property. The modified Industrial District would accommodate the deficient regulations caused by the introduction of the residential use. The existing industrial building will remain.

Owner/Applicant: The Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation for the Diocese of Peterborough, in Ontario, Canada

The applicant proposes to amend the zoning of the subject lands from R.1, R.2, R.3 – Residential District to SP.241 – Commercial District which would permit the property to be used as dwelling units, small-scale office or clinic use in an existing building. The applicant proposes to use the subject property to accommodate the expanding office space needs of the Diocese.
