Peterborough, ON – The City of Peterborough is partnering with three local media organizations to encourage residents to Have A Seat.

Corus Entertainment (The Wolf 101.5, Global Peterborough and 100.5 Fresh Radio), PTBOCanada Media Inc. and My Broadcast Corporation (OLDIES 96.7 and freq 90.5) have developed comprehensive media campaigns to engage the Peterborough community and promote the Have A Seat Campaign.

Have A Seat invites residents, organizations and businesses to donate a seat or bench at the new Miskin Law Community Complex at the corner of Lansdowne and Park streets. Each donation comes with a name plate that will be attached to the seat and can be personalized. It’s a great way to recognize a loved one, organization or business.

The three local media partners are providing the following:

  • Promotion support across 100.5 FRESH Radio and The Wolf 101.5, as well as a television commercial airing on Global Peterborough. Corus is also running a “Gift a Seat” trivia contest, open to listeners of 100.5 FRESH Radio and The Wolf 101.5 from Monday January 6 – Sunday February 2. Two “seat” winners will be drawn and announced during the WOLF and FRESH morning shows on Monday February 3.
  • Digital marketing including ads, blogs and posts on PTBOCanada Media Inc. platforms
  • Radio ads, tags, story posts on PTBOToday.ca and an interview with hosts on My Broadcast Corporation’s stations, OLDIES 96.7 and freq 90.5

The Have A Seat campaign was launched in July 2024 by community groups who wanted to give back to the complex. Donations will help cover the costs of fixtures, furniture and equipment in the Miskin Law Community Complex.

Donors will receive a charitable tax receipt for the full donation amount, issued by the City. For more information visit peterborough.ca/haveaseat.
