Historic Planes Visit Peterborough Airport
Peterborough, ON - The City of Peterborough welcomes the Commemorative Air Force’s Flying Legends of Victory Tour, happening now until August 4, 2024, at the Peterborough Airport. This unique event will feature the iconic B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" and B-25 Mitchell "Maid in the Shade". Attendees can take ground tours or book a flight to experience these historic aircraft.
Dates:
- Friday, August 2 until 6 p.m.
- Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Details:
Flights will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with each aircraft flying one at a time. From 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., both aircraft will be on static display.

590 Skyway Dr., Peterborough Airport, at the Airport Terminal building.

The Airbase Arizona Flying Museum, a unit of the Commemorative Air Force worldwide, has operated from its home base at historic Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona, for over 44 years. A non-profit educational organization, the museum provides educational support to schools, exhibits, speaker programs, a national tour program, and living history flights that are uniquely inspiring experiences for young and old.
