The last week of seasonal curbside green waste collection is November 24 to November 27, 2020.

All leaf and yard waste is accepted and there are no quantity limits.

Paper yard waste bags, bushel baskets or garbage bins with yellow Green Waste labels will be picked up on the same day as garbage and recycling collection. Plastic bags are not accepted.

Each bag or container must weigh less than 22 kilograms. Brush can be tied in bundles weighing not more than 22 kilograms, with a length of up to 1measure metre and a diameter of up to 30.5 centimeters.

After November 27, green waste is only accepted at the Peterborough Waste Management Facility (Landfill) at 1260 Bensfort Rd. Quantities of 100 kilograms or or less are free of charge. For quantities over 100 kilograms, there is a fee of $45 per tonne.

The 2021 Waste Reduction and Conservation Calendar will be distributed in the Peterborough This Week newspaper on Thursday, December 3, 2020. City residents who do not receive a calendar in the newspaper distribution can pick one up at City Hall beginning Friday, December 4, 2020.
