Peterborough, ON - The City of Peterborough’s free after-school program Downtown Youth Space will re-open on September 22, 2020 with public health and safety measures in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Downtown Youth Space offers a variety of after-school activities for youth ages 13 to 18. The program will provide for physical distancing while still offering youth access to fun recreational and leisure activities.

Program leaders look forward to providing a safe environment for youth to socialize with friends after school. Health screening protocols will be followed and anyone who has symptoms or suspects that may have been exposed to COVID-19 is asked to stay home. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols will be followed.

Downtown Youth Space - PACE @ PCVS, located at 201 McDonnel St., offers programming in rooms 15 &13 and has access to ample green space in Confederation Park for sports and recreational activities.

This program is a drop-in format that runs Tuesday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The program will have limited space each day, as the number of participants has been restricted to ensure space for physical distancing. Attendance will be on a first, come first serve basis.
