City’s Spring Environment Day

The City of Peterborough’s Spring Environment Day is on Saturday, May 12th at the Eastgate
Parking Lot at 2150 Ashburnham Road. It starts at 9:00 a.m. and gates close at 1:00 p.m.
sharp – rain or shine.
This year we will be accepting:
 Textiles – including clothing (good or non-usable), drapes, towels, sheets, shoes,
pillows, stuffed toys, shoes, belts and more
 Video and audio tapes, DVD’s and CD’s and vinyl records
 Any appliance with a cord
 Hard covered books
 Scrap metal
 Computers, televisions, cell phones and other electronics
No commercial loads will be accepted. The event is open to City households only.
Automobile batteries and items that contain Freon, such as refrigerators, air conditioners or
water coolers will not be accepted. Rigid bulky plastics (such as lawn furniture) will not be
accepted on this day. Unfortunately this year, Crime Stoppers will not be able to join us so
there will be no paper shredding services.
Blue boxes, composters and Blue in the Loo baskets will be available for cash purchases.
